Pakistan’s ranking in Human Development Index (HDI) was slipped from 150 in 2018 to 154 in 2019; it stayed at 154 in the year 2020. This downward trend in HDI is well explained through the social sector allocations in different provinces of Pakistan. This document analyzes the government’s budget allocations to the social sector in Sindh Province. The ten departments mentioned in this research are selected for the analysis and the allocation trends for each department are shown for the last five years.
